Assessment process

NATS uses a range of assessment events for their recruitment and each is summarised below:

Welcome meeting
A chance to meet other people that would like to work for NATS and some current employees.

Online test validation
An exercise to validate online test scores (if a test has been completed as part of progressing to the interview stage).
See online test examples at www.shl.com

Group exercise
During this task, applicants are provided with a scenario and are asked as a group to discuss and solve a problem.

Personal and technical interview
This is a chance for the candidate to tell the NATS panel about themselves and why they want to work for NATS. Questions will be asked relating to the candidate’s CV and there will also be a technical question to assess how problems are tackled.

Presentation
Candidates are given a period of time to prepare a presentation on a topic provided on the day. This is then presented to a few current NATS employees who will ask questions relating to what’s been presented.
