Industrial Placement - Science

The Science Industrial Placement Scheme is designed for undergraduates who have completed their second year at university. If you're a highly numerate undergraduate with excellent technical and interpersonal skills, it's the ideal opportunity to get first-hand experience of international air traffic management research, whilst developing a well-rounded knowledge of Air Traffic Control activities. Working with a range of bespoke tools and programs, a 12 month placement within the Operational Analysis department will give you a great head-start going into your final year at university, as well as your future career.

Roles and responsibilities

You will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of analysis projects, required by customers internal or external to NATS. From the outset, you'll be expected to perform robust analysis, meet deadlines and take responsibility for conducting many departmental key tasks. Under supervision, you'll be given the chance to manage your own projects and time, ensuring that you become a valuable member of Operational Analysis.
